Me, circa 1976, stuck under a wagon wheel

Beer Money

For some extra money back in college, I apprenticed with a local window cleaner on days I wasn't in classes. Later, after graduation, I taught English for seven years in Baltimore County and cleaned windows during the summers. As a direct result of repeat business and customers' referrals, I soon had more work than I could handle.

Shortly after my wife and I were married, I reasoned that a job with more flexibility might better meet our needs as we decided to start a family.  And so began the story of my becoming a full-time window cleaner. It really astonishes me that I've been wielding a squeegee for close to twenty years now.

The Pitch

One of the advantages of operating this business is that if you do it well, it's recurring. I work alone, I'm easy to deal with, and I'm comfortable being the one responsible for your entire experience. I wear all of the hats: el presidente, secretary, dispatcher, scheduler, and (my favorite) window cleaner.  I do the estimates. I do the work, and it's done right.  I'm extra safe (having kids will do that to you) and am properly insured to the tune of two million dollars.

It is in my best interest to make you completely happy because I will hopefully see you again, and again, and again.  In fact, some of my business relationships go back ten years, and I can't overstate how enjoyable it is to have clients who know my kids, my hobbies, and the pride that I take in my work.

Please; snoop around the site, flip through the galleries, and see what you think.  If you think we'd be a good match, the contact page is where we can get further acquainted. Thanks for your interest in my company.
